Susan Kare’s Designs
Susan Kare is well known for her work at Apple, where she started working in 1982 and mostly worked on designing the company’s interface typefaces and visuals (Hintz, 2018). Her lasting influence may be seen in the endurance of symbols like the lasso, paint bucket, and grabber, which are still essential elements of modern Microsoft programs. The nation’s daily computer usage is infused with these Kare-created icons. After leaving Apple, Kare started a new chapter at NeXT, where she used her artistic abilities on various projects, including the creation of Microsoft 3.0, which was notable for including the game solitaire.
